Gris

Born in 1978 in Berlin, Gris discovered and developed  a passion for watercolours at a relatively early age. For him, the 90s were shaped by graffiti and his music. After completing his teaching qualification in art, Gris has been teaching drawing, watercolouring and sketching in his studio in Berlin, in many other German cities, in Switzerland as well as in Italy for a decade now.

Anyone taking part in one of his painting journeys  or workshops can look forward to a relaxed, humorous and enthusiastic atmosphere. He draws every day to stay fit and enthusiastically keeps a sketchbook. He draws on the train, on the street, in cafés and restaurants, and loves capturing all kinds of scenery with gentle strokes and watercolours.

Gris: a watercolourist, urban sketcher, painter and sprayer from Berlin.

“I have to admit that I have countless Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen fineliners to answer for and have now become a fan of the Albrecht Dürer Watercolour Markers. Use the right paper and they will provide genuine watercolour effects; I really have a lot of fun with them, particularly with the portrait set! The five pens are all you need to draw portraits of people from all over the world.”
