What size can a group have?

One group may consist of a maximum of 20 people. Nevertheless several groups can be guided at the same time.

What does a tour cost?

One tour costs 100 €, two tours cost 150 €, three tours cost 200 €. Schoolclasses are free of charge. 

Which languages do you offer?

Guided tours can be offered in German, English, Italian, French, Spanish, Serb/ Croatian and Romanian language.

Are there also appointments for families, individuals or small groups?

In 2016 the dates are:

• May - August: 13.05.2016, 20.05.2016, 17.06.2016, 15.07.2016, 05.08.2016, 19.08.2016,

• September - December: 02.09.2016, 16.09.2016 14.10.2016, 04.11.2016, 18.11.2016, 16.12.2016

Which tours can I book?

At Faber-Castell you can do three tours by prior appointment:

• Production plant wood-cased pencils: Monday to Friday at 08.30, 10.00, 10.30, 11.00 und 11.30 a.m., duration approx. 2 hours
• Museum “old lead”: Monday to Sunday from 08.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m., duration approx. 1,5 hours
• Faber-Castell castle: Monday to Sunday from 08.00 a.m. to 06.00 p.m., duration approx. 1,5 hours

Where can I book a tour?

Tours can exclusively be booked via our online form which you find here.

• Furthermore the castle and the museum are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  every third Sunday a month.
  The dates in 2016 are: 17.01.,21.02., 20.03., 17.04.,15.05.,19.06., 17.07., 21.08., 18.09., 16.10., 20.11., 18.12.

The entrance fee for the museum is 4,50 € (reduced 3,00 €, family ticket 10,00 €). For the museum it is 7,00 € (reduced 5,00 €, family ticket 15,00 €). A combined ticket for both, museum and castle, costs 10,00 € (reduced 7,00 €, family ticket 19,00 €). There is no need to book in advance.

When do I need to book?

You can book your tour up to six month in advance. We recommend to book the tour a minimum of for weeks ahead of your planned visit.

Am I allowed to take pictures?

You can take pictures in our museum. Regrettably taking pictures is not allowed in the production plant and the castle.

Are the premises barrier-free?
Regrettably our historic buildings are partly not barrier-free (production and museum), our castle is barrier-free. Please also note, that longer marches have to be considered.
