Materials Required

  • Faber-Castell metallic pencils
  • Faber-Castell water-soluble pencils
  • Faber-Castell backlead pencil
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard
  • A3 Poster board
  • Gouache

Step 1: Cut the poster board and the cardboard into a 10.5 x 26 cm rectangle. On the top of the poster board, colour a sky, from the darkest shade until the lightest one using the Faber-Castell water-soluble pencils. Use a moist paint brush to obtain the watercolour effect. When it dries, draw a city on the lower part of the poster board

Step 2: Get the cardboard that you’ve just cut, bend it into a cylinder and glue it. After that, attach the drawing that you’ve done on the cylinder. That’s going to be your pencil holder

Step 3: Cut another piece of poster board into a 16 x 2 cm rectangle. Then, draw and paint trees on the poster board

Step 4: Bend the cardboard into a cylinder and glue it on the cardboard. That’s going to be you clips holder

Step 5: Over another piece of poster board, mark, using the Faber-Castell blacklead pencil, the size of the pencil and the clips holder. Draw streets and squares around the circles and cut the circles out, this is going to be the base of the pencil holder. Mark on the cardboard the same shape of the poster board and cut it out

Step 6: Using the Faber-Castell water-soluble pencils, colour the streets and squares. Don’t forget to use a moist paintbrush to get the watercolour effect. Wait until it dries, glue the cardboard behind the drawing and glue the pencils and clips holder at the front. Afterwards, use dark color gouache to paint the inside part of the pencils and clips holder
